Inviting guests
Guests join from a link in their browser. No account, no download, and they're free on every plan.

Send a guest link
- In the Studio, open Scene settings and type each guest's name under Names on screen, then save. This is the name shown on their camera.
- In the Guests panel, click Copy next to Guest 1, Guest 2 or Guest 3.
- Send the link to that guest by email or chat.
Each scene has room for a host and up to three guests. Each link belongs to one guest spot, so give each guest their own link.
Treat guest links like passwords. Anyone with the link can join in that spot. If you rename the scene, the links change, so send the new ones.
What your guest sees
- They open the link and click Join with camera & mic, then allow access when the browser asks.
- They hear and see everyone on the call, and they see a live view of the production: the same layout OBS and the finished video use.
- They can switch camera or mic, mute, and share their screen.
While you record, each guest's browser records them at full quality and uploads in the background. If their connection is slow, they see a note asking them to keep the window open after the recording ends.
After you click Stop, guests see Saving your recording… with a percentage. They should keep the window open until it says Your recording is saved.
Watch your guests from the Studio
In the Guests panel, each guest shows whether they're connected and, during and after a take, whether their recording is saved. Each guest has a level meter and a volume slider for what you hear.
If a guest leaves before their upload finishes, their part of that take ends early, and the take is marked Incomplete in Recordings.
Tips to send your guests
- Use a laptop or desktop with an up-to-date browser.
- Wear headphones, so your speakers don't echo into your mic.
- Use a wired connection, or sit close to your Wi-Fi router.
- Close other video calls and apps that use the camera.
- Keep this window open after the recording until it says it's saved.
Guests or team members?
Guests join one scene from a link and can't see anything else. People who help run the show, such as co-hosts, producers or editors, should be team members instead. Team members have their own login and use a seat. See Getting started.
